During your first visit to Northwest Chiropractic Center Dr. Junkin will discuss the nature and extent of your condition with you to determine if chiropractic or nutrition care is an appropriate treatment for the condition. If chiropractic or nutrition care is not suitable for your condition, we readily refer patients to the appropriate health care provider.

Physical Exam

Orthopedic neurological and spinal examination as well as posture analysis are performed to determine general health status and specific problems.

X-Rays

Dr. Junkin may utilize x-rays to further asses the health condition if necessary. Dr. Junkin will Thoroughly explain all x-rays so that you will be better informed of the condition.

Treatment Plan

Dr. Junkin will develop a personal treatment plan just for you! Treatment methods, along with spinal manipulation, may include ultrasound, electrical stimulation and controlled exercise. Your personal plan may also include life style counseling, such as providing exercises aimed at building flexibility, strength and overall well-being.

Clinical Nutrition

Some cases may need a clinical nutritional evaluation to uncover the cause of their health problems. Your individual needs will be assessed with a brief symptom survey questionnaire.

Q: How long will I have to be there for my first visit?
A: Your first vist will take no longer than one hour, and in most cases is usually much less than one hour. This includes the physical exam and x-rays.

Q: How long will the follow-up visits take?
A: 20 minutes.

Q: When do I get my first adjustment?
A: Depending on your condition you will most likely recieve your first spinal manipulation on your second visit.

Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: On your intitial visit you will need to bring the new patient forms, or you can fax it for faster processing. You will also need to bring all related x-rays from any previous physicians. After your intital visit you will only need to bring yourself!
